Contractor: G&T Crampton
Scope: DTHH, approx. 640 piles up 12m long
Value: £532k

The Secant wall piling solution was installed for a two level car parking basement in soils consisting of 4m of boulder and hard clay overburden and then limestone rock which was penetrated up to 6m. The work was carried out with an overburden down the hole hammer system, on a site which was bordered by buildings on 2 sides and a road at the front. This was the first secant basement in Dublin carried out using this system. The ground water level was 2m below the existing ground level.
